Caring for your flowers

The best way to make your cut flowers last longer? Refresh their water daily! A bonus if you keep them out of direct sunlight/heat sources while displaying.

When I’m selling stems that I have grown you can usually expect a vase life of 7-12 days depending on where you display your flowers and how often you refresh the water. There are a few flowers that are exceptions to that, but for a majority of the stems I grow this vase life is true!

That is why if you sign up for my flower subscription your flowers are delivered every other week. Flowers such as peonies that don’t have as long of vase life are put into arrangements as buds (in the “marshmallow” stage) so you get to enjoy the color of the buds and the full bloom life of the peonies!

When you receive a wrapped bouquet from Sweet Blooms Village give the ends of your stems a little snip and place them in a vase with fresh water and the flower food included mixed in the water. You can leave the rubber band on the stems if you want the shape to stay as I wrapped it, but I prefer to cut the band and arrange the stems to my liking so they fit the vase being used.
